A man and Butterfly

A man was an avid gardener...

Saw a small butterfly laying a few eggs in one of the pots in his garden since that day he looked at the egg with ever growing curiosity and eagerness.

The egg started to move and shake a little.

He was exited to see a new life coming up right in front of his eyes.

He spent hours watching the egg now.

The egg started to expand and develop cracks..

A tiny head and antennae started to come out ever so slowly.

The man's excitement knew no bounds he got his magnifying glasses and sat to watch the life and body of a pupa coming out.

He saw the struggle of the tender pupa and couldn't resisit his urge to HELP.

He went and got a tender forcep the help the egg break, a nip here a nip there to help the struggling life. And LO!

The pupa was out the man was ecstatic!

He waited now each day for the pupa to grow and fly abt like a beautiful butterfly, but Alas that never happened the larvae pupa had a oversized head and kept crawling along in the pot for the full 4 weeks and died!

Depressed the man went to his botanist friend and asked the reason.

His friend told him the struggle to break out of the egg helps the larvae to send blood to its wings and the head push helps the head to remain small so that the tender wings can support it thru its 4 week life cycle, in his eagerness to help the man destroyed a beautiful life!

Struggles help all of us, that's why a wee bit of effort goes a long way to develop our strength to face life's difficulties!

As parents, we sometimes go too far trying to help and protect our kids from life's harsh realities and disappointments.

We don't want our kids to struggle like we did.

But Harvard psychiatrist Dr. Dan Kindlon says that overprotected children are more likely to struggle in relationships and with challenges.

We're sending our kids the message that they're not capable of helping themselves.

To quote clinical psychologist Dr. Wendy Mogel:

"It is Our Job to prepare Our Children for the Road..., &
Not prepare the road for Our Children..."

Horse and Pig

Once upon a time there was a farmer. He had a big farm. There was a horse and a pig in his farm.

One day, the horse became ill and he called the veterinarian,

He checked the horse and said to the farmer,

"Well, your horse has a virus.

He must take this medicine for three days.

I will come back on the third day and if he's not better,

We are going to have to put him down."

Nearby, the pig listened closely to their conversation.

The next day, they gave him the medicine and left.

The pig reached near the horse and said:

Be strong, my friend.

Get up or else they're going to put you to sleep!

On the second day, they again gave him the medicine and left.

The pig came back and said: Come on buddy, get up or else you're going to die!

Come on, I'll help you get up.

Let's go! One, two, three ...

On the third day, again they came to give him the medicine

And the vet said:

Unfortunately, we're going to have to put him down tomorrow.

Otherwise, the virus might spread and infect the other horses.

After they left, the pig approached the horse and said:

Listen pal, it's now or never!

Get up, come on! Have courage!

Come on! Get up! Get up!

That's it, slowly! Great!

Come on, one, two, three ... Good, good.

Now faster, come on ... Fantastic! Run, run more!

Yes! Yay! Yes! You did it, you're a champion!

All of a sudden, the owner came back,

Saw the horse running in the

Field and began shouting:

It's a miracle! My horse is cured!

We must have a grand party. Let's roast the pig to celebrate !

Moral of this Story : This often happens in the workplace.

Nobody truly knows which employee actually deserves

The merit of success,

Or who's actually contributing the necessary support

To make things happen.

Always Remember this thing.

Wisdom of A Money Lander

In a small hill town there lived a thief. He was very smart and before breaking into houses for theft he used to enquire about the lifestyles of the people staying in the house. Then at the dead of night he used to commit theft.
Dhanpatrai was a moneylender living in the same town. He was thrifty and never wasted money. He had a daughter named Laxmi. The thief knew that Dhanpatrai was rich and he had a lot of jewelry with him. Smartly the thief found out the location of the house and designed the theft. One night, getting up to the roof of the house he started removing the roof covering made of earthen tiles.
The moneylender heard the sound and was sure that a thief was on the roof of the house. Now he had to create some ploy. He hit upon a plan. “Laxmi, Laxmi” He called out to his daughter who was sleeping, “Laxmi, I hope our money-box and jewelry are kept in the ceiling,” he asked cleverly.
Generally, in hill area, to keep house warm in winter, houses have a thatched roofing and below that, a wooden ceiling certain things used to be kept in the space between the roofing and wooden ceiling. So he jumped down.
But actually in the house there was no wooden ceiling. So the thief fell to the floor of the house which was about fifteen feet below and broke his leg.
Immediately the moneylender called all the neighbors and they handed over the thief to the police. He saved his house from being burgled, with his ingenuity.

Inspiring Story : Two Brother & A Thief

Inspirational Short Story : Two Brothers &

 A Thief

Inspiratonal Short Story about Two brothers & A ThiefMihir and Mahadev lived in the same village. While Mahadev owned the largest shop in the village. Mihir was a poor farmer. Both had large families, with many sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. One day, Mihir, tired of not being able to make ends meet, decided to leave the village and move to the city where they were sure to make enough to feed everyone. They said their goodbyes, packed their few belongings their and set off. When night fell, they stopped under a large tree. There was a stream running nearby, where they could refresh themselves. Mihir told his sons to clear the area below the tree. He told his wife to fetch water.
He instructed his daughters-in-law to make up the fire and started cutting wood from the tree himself. Now, in the branches of the tree set a thief. He saw as Mihir’s family worked together. He also noticed they had nothing to cook.  Mihir’s wife too thought the same, for she said to her husband, “Everything is ready. But what shall we eat?” Mihir raised his hands to heaven and said, “Don’t worry. He is watching all this from above. He will help us.”
The thief was worried. He had seen that the family was large and worked well together. Surely they did not know he was hiding in the branches? He decided to make a quick gateway. He climbed down swiftly when they were not looking and ran for his life. But he left behind his bundle of stolen jewels and money, which dropped down into Mihir’s lap. He opened it and jumped with joy when he saw the contents. The family promptly gathered its belongings and returned to the village. There was great excitement when they told everyone how they got rich.
Mahadev thought this was a nice quick way to earn some money! He commanded his family to pack some clothes and they set off as if on a journey. They stopped under the same tree and Mahadev started commanding everyone as Mihir had done. But no one in his family was willing to obey orders. They were used to having servants wait on them-so the one who went to gather wood for the fire went off to sleep beneath the free. And Mahadev only ordered everyone about, not bothering to do anything himself. Meanwhile the thief had returned to the tree. He noticed the family members were greedy and selfish. They would never be able to put up a fight tighter. Then, Mahadev and his wife started the conversation that they had rehearsed carefully. Mahadev’s wife said, “Everything is ready.” But what shall we eat?” Mahadev raised his hands upwards and said, “Don’t worry. He is watching all this from above He will help us.”
At this, the thief jumped down from the tree, knife in hand. Seeing him, everyone started running helter skelter to save themselves. The thief stole everything. Mahadev and his family had to return to the village empty-handed, having lost all the jewelry and gold they had taken with them.
